When Jeremy says “We all help one another against the giant cat” What Jeremy is saying is that the cat will try to eat them but if they all fight for mice rights then they can live without fearing the cat. “Moving Day” for the mice is moving to a different area. They had to because it was getting to be winter and the plow was coming. Timothy was sick, but[M1] getting better, so they took him along to a safer place. The quote Mrs. remember is “I’ve ben myself, but he was too weak to get out of bed and still is” [M1]But is a key word
First on page 39 the chapter starts with “Moving Day”, Mrs. F finds a owl stuck in the fence Mrs. F Saves him so she can get away from the cat and move Timothy with her because he is sick. Next the next chapter is about the owl the owl try’s to eat the rats while they are moving Mrs. F finds a way to escape the owl. Then the chapter five o’clock is about when Jermery comes and picks Mrs. F up. After that the chapter is dusk when Jeremy finds the right time to talk with the owl. The owl does not like when she says her name. The owl is mostly what theses chapters are about. On pages 63 + 64 Mrs. F and her son Timothy switch parent-child roles. They do because Timothy starts standing up for the rats wile Mrs. F watches and stands up for rats and her son also. Mrs. F learned about the technology and architecture of the rats’ sub-rosa world. She learned that rats are often on the move, saving them self and staying where they live. She learned that rats live in small places because also they are on the move, because of predators, humans, etc. There is something I can infer bout the rats plan, is that it will be a smart well thought out plan and it will work. If there is anything else I can infer is that it will have to do with the cat in some way, the owl, and all the rats help. Maybe they will stand up for each other, or there start liking the cat and the cat won’t eat them, or maybe the owl will be on their side. Who knows I can’t wait to read the book!!! VI. (6.) Read Frisby pages 89-111.
Write a short essay that answers and explains the following:
+Describes and explains the meaning of strange advice that Mrs. Frisby is given by the owl.
+What two important pieces of infomation does Mrs. Frisby learn in the chapter "A Powder for Dragon," one about what "in the lee of the stone" means, and another about how Jonathan Frisby had died.
+In the chapter "The Marketplace" and "In the Cage," summarize what Mrs. Frisby and we learn about exactly where the rats come from, what happened there, and how they started to become whom or what they are--intelligent rats.
On page 158 we learn why the rats admire the monks of the Middle Ages. They admired them, because the monks lived self sificently.
The rats were hated, because they were accused of biteing people.
On page 160, we see learn about a mistake made by the prairie dogs, according to a book in the Boniface Estate Library. The prairie dogs took the easy way out, while the monkeys trained in the forests and became stronger.
The lesson about building a civilization is that it is not easy, but the hard work is worth it. The ratsts want to leave the Fitzgibbon Farm because they want to stop stealing and build a community with the things that they have constructed.
A. What does Mrs. Frisby learn when she is captured, inside the birdcage?
B. Why, ironically, is Mrs. Frisby's capture a good thing?
[[#x---C. Describe two other examples of "entrapment" [being trapped or caught] that, ironically, led to good things. Explain fully.]]C. Describe two other examples of "entrapment" [being trapped or caught] that, ironically, led to good things. Explain fully.
Mrs. Frisby leans when she is captured that 7 rats died. Its a good thing because she gets infomation about how the extermaters where there gonna put the trap. This reminds me of the brgining of the story when they are cought by the lab people.
XIII. (13). Read Frisby pages 195-205
In the chapter, Escape, (especially on pages 196 and 197) Mrs. Frisby spends quite a bit of time thinking about the rats. Re-read those pages. Why does Mrs. Frisby want to escape and do? What does this say about her character? What does she say about the rats and their plan? What message does the author want to give us about goodness and bravery and intelligence and civilizations?
During the last five pages of the chapter, we see the rats actually moving Mrs. Frisbys house. What do they do? How do they do it? In what ways do they show specialization of labor? In what ways do they show intelligence? Resourcefulness? Cooperation? According to the author, what does it mean to be truly civilized?
